A Safe Space to Answer Your Questions
Frequently Asked QuestionsStarting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's natural to have questions. Below are answers to some of the questions I am most often asked. If you can't find what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to get in touch—I'm always happy to help.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, experiencing grief, struggling in relationships, or simply finding life difficult to navigate, therapy can provide a safe and supportive space to explore what you're going through.
You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. Many people seek therapy because they want to understand themselves better, improve their wellbeing, or make positive changes in their lives.
-
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other.
We'll talk about what has brought you to therapy, discuss your goals, answer any questions you may have, and explore how we might work together. There is no pressure to share everything straight away—we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

-
Yes.
I offer secure online therapy sessions for clients across the UK, as well as face-to-face appointments in South Liverpool.
-
Walk & Talk Therapy combines traditional counselling with the calming benefits of being outdoors.
Rather than meeting in a therapy room, sessions take place while walking in a peaceful setting, allowing some people to feel more relaxed and comfortable during conversations.
-
Most therapy sessions last around 50 minutes.
We'll discuss together what frequency and length of therapy is most appropriate for your needs.
-
Every person's journey is different.
Some clients benefit from short-term counselling focused on a specific issue, while others choose longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns and experiences.
We will regularly review your progress together to ensure therapy continues to meet your needs.
-
Confidentiality is an important part of therapy.
Everything discussed during sessions is treated with respect and kept confidential, except in rare situations where there is a legal or ethical duty to protect you or someone else from serious harm. If this ever became necessary, I would discuss it with you whenever possible.
-
